About Xplore Team
Lake Winnipesaukee New Hampshire
Set in New Hampshire’s central lake region, Lake Winnipesaukee offers close to 300 miles of beautiful shoreline. With a number of lakefront properties from which to choose, our impressive collection of handpicked homes compliment the natural beauty of the area. Several picturesque New England towns line Winnipesaukee’s shores, including Laconia, Meredith and iconic Wolfboro, the oldest summer resort town in America.
Not surprisingly, the majority of activity in the Lake Winnipesaukee region is centered on the lake itself. This is an incredibly family friendly place, especially in the summer months, and is perfect for waterskiing, wakeboarding and tubing. It is also a perfect lake to explore by Jet Ski, sailboat, canoe or kayak. And of course, if you have the right crowd you can’t go wrong with a pontoon cruise. Dry land activities include fantastic hiking to incredible vistas, zip lining and cave explorations.
Winnipesaukee is a lake for all seasons. In the fall it becomes a leaf peeper’s paradise, with reds, oranges and yellows all reflecting off of the lake’s glassy surface. Winter brings with it skiing and ice fishing, an area tradition.
With hundreds of little islands and bays to explore, Lake Winnipesaukee is full of surprises. Listen for the call of the loons and keep an eye out for otters, who also make their home on the lake. And keep an eye out for the occasional moose and fox, especially in the spring months.
Lake Winnipesaukee is located just over an hour’s drive from Manchester, NH and about two hours from Boston, MA. Come stay in this place where our forefathers vacationed and discover what has drawn Americans to the area for hundreds of years.
